The annual event is a great place to see high quality traditional Canarian crafts including basket weaving, Canarian knives, leatherwork and pottery.

The Feria Artesanía Faro de Maspalomas is on between August 7 and 16 between 17.00 and 23.00. It's held right next to the Faro lighthouse at the east end of the Meloneras boulevard.

The event is co-ordinated by FEDAC: The Canarian Craft Association that was founded in 1990 to preserve Canarian traditions and encourage traditional crafts. It has several shops in Gran Canaria selling high-quality local crafts, including one in the Playa del Inglés tourism office right next to the dinosaur sign at the Yumbo Centre.
