The Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival is on in 2017 and will be held on San Agustín beach between the 28-30 July.

Gran Canaria's biggest free beach music festival is a twin of the famous Poretta Soul Festival from Italy. Last year, over 10,000 people headed to the beach to listen to many of the world's best soul singers

The 2017 edition, the third to be held on San Agustín beach, will be an homage to famous Memphis singer Rufus Thomas; one of the great rhythm and blues, funk, soul and blues singers.

See you on the beach!

Tip Of The Day: Arucas Old Town Is Worth A Wander

There's more to Arucas old town than the great big church. Walk up the narrow cobbled streets behind the cathedral for great old Canarian houses and local street life, then head down narrow Calle Gourié to the High Street (Calle León y Castillo).
