After 20 years of delays, the timeshare operator, Anfi, has received the go ahead to proceed with the completion of its development at Tauro.
The construction group, Santana Cazorla, which owns Anfi, had to take its case all the way to the Spanish Supreme Court in order to overcome the objections of the various concerned authorities on the island. The original plan for Tauro stalled after the first phase, centred around the golf course was completed.
The second phase will cost around EUR 400m, take around 4 years to complete and bring to the area a further 7,500 beds, two artificial beaches and a marina with space for up to 500 boats. Santana Cazorla remains enthusiastic about the project but no date has yet been set for the work to start.
